ISTOGRAM SYSTEM
Manufactured by: Vaselli
Designed by; Daniele Lotti
“The Istogram series in wood, stone and iron was conceived as a Cartesian diagram, a musical rhythm, which you can compose in intervals of whole and half tones; it is an independent variable in its geometric design, materials and functions.
Istogram’s look changes with the different materials used, while its original philosophy remains the same.” Thus
Daniele Lotti describes the collection designed for Vaselli.
Istogram’s “rhythm” is marked by the correlation between wood, stone and
iron that makes infinite combinations possible, from the elegant to the
transgressive.
The close association between these materials and the resulting contrast
between materials and colors are contained within a strong geometric design,
in counterpoint to the lightness of the inner dividers, finely crafted with
delicate skill.
The forms and materials are extremely versatile, making Istogram suitable for
different sizes and functions, not limiting its use only as bathroom furniture.
The solid wood exposed frame provides the support for Istogram and strongly
distinguishes the collection, enhancing the personality of the type of wood
chosen. The solid wood uprights and front pieces are proposed with a 3.6 x
3.6 cm square profile that is repeated throughout the piece.
The stone washbasin carved from the block offers the same profile, which
rests on the wooden structure. The continuity of the material catches the eye
immediately, with the veining that continues across the strip supporting the
basin.
This play of continuity is repeated in the stone doors. The panels are cut from
a single slab and are then placed to reconstruct the slab, allowing you to
appreciate the veins in the marble that continue across the wooden frame.
The internal accessories are completely customizable like the rest of the
piece, and are made from solid wood, enhancing the nuances and the grain
of the type of wood chosen.
The furniture is supported by a natural iron base shaped from sheet metal.
Iron is a tenacious, ductile material that embodies the characteristics of the
collection’s two principal materials.
